Everybody has ever asked this question, What's a blog?
A blog is a different depending on the aims and uses that the author gives to it. It can be a place to express opinions, to share information, images and videos. It also can be a tool or a resource for the Education, for example.
Blogs can be professionals or non-professionals, that means that, everybody can have a blog and depending  on the use it will be personal or a matter of work.

A blog can be a powerful tool to teach children to get used to the new technologies, although the kids are nowadays more familiar to these new technologies that most of us are. Hence, the blog can be a good way to start in Primary Education.
