Advantages & Disadvantages
First of all, what is the CLOUD? Adam Clark says that "Cloud is a buzzword that vaguely suggests the promise and convenience of being able to access files from anywhere". But, where is this word come from? origin is found in the term "cloud computing".
Now we have defined what is the cloud, we are going to see its advantages and dsiadvantages.
* Back-up & recovery
Nowadays all of the companies that provide this kind of service provide comprehensive backup and the chance of recover data in case of a disaster or lost of data.
* Mobility or agility
The main advantage of the cloud is that you can have the data that you upload everywhere if you have Internet connection. In addition, the time requiered to be able to access to our info is shorter than switching on the computer.
- ADVANTAGES:

With the cloud there is no need of physical devices no more. Furthermore, we have access to almost unlimited sotrage capability.

- DISADVANTAGES:
* Control & reliability
The major danger or disadvantage of the cloud is that we have to rely on the companies that provide the service to control their employees. This danger is directly related with the next disadvantge.
* Security
The violation of our privacy is the biggest fear in relation with the cloud. The access to our personal info by hackers or other people a part from us is something that the security of the companies of the cloud are in charge of, but is not always infallible.
* Lock-in
That refers to the fact that some data could not be operable in all the systems. For example, if a data is developed on Linux, may have problems if we want to open it on Microsoft platform.
In my day life I use the cloud with my PC and my mobile phone. In my PC for store my documents using Dropbox and Google Drive. But, when I use my mobile phone, every five minutes, I use different cloud apps. For example, I use whatsapp, facebook and twitter to share and upload or download pictures, videos and music.
To sum up, the cloud has a lot of advantages that have made possible some of the technological advances of today. But also, there are few disadvantages of relying everything to the cloud, or we should say to the cloud companies.
